translucent pulse was conceived of in 1995 out of a long-running desire to experiment with sound and a need to escape the more conventional methods of making music. made with very primitive equipment, the first translucent pulse recordings ranged from improvisational, instrumental compositions (a la dif juz and lanterna) to more linear and mathematical (yet still largely improvisational) drones (a la mid-period seefeel). by the end of 1995, translucent pulse had developed a more minimal, organic style blending traditional instruments with various electronic elements, an approach still maintained to this day.

composite, a collection of home recordings, was released in october of 2003 on the kabuki kore label.
